Cyber Security Update for Federal Employees

Background:

• There is greater reliance on cyber-controlled or -managed critical infrastructure in both public and private sector
  
• Increased risk of cyber-based attacks impacting critical infrastructures and the economy as a whole
  
• The Federal government and the private sector have directed resources and investment to develop a cyber incident response and recovery capability
  
• To ensure that capability, in the event of a cyber attack on critical infrastructure, the public and private sectors should be fully prepared to conduct a coordinated and well-informed response.

  This workshop is intended to:

• Enhance situational awareness,
• evaluate applicable directives, and,
• enhance interagency coordination.

This workshop emphasizes reporting, information-sharing, and decision-making between government agencies and commercial infrastructure.

We hope to identify incident response responsibilities and initiate an improvement action plan for cooperation between government and commercial infrastructure providers.

These seminars are designed for Federal Employees but are also open to city, state, and local university employees. You must register with your work email to confirm employment and attend. Travel and administrative time are not authorized for participation in this event. Please consult with your supervisor to make appropriate arrangements.
